Capt. Reardon And Sgt. Lovell Newell

Two more air corps casualties were reported in Saranac Lake last Wednesday, one a second twin son missing in action and the other a marine corps captain killed in action in the South Pacific.

This brought the total to four in three days, or more than were reported from the village for the entire world war I.

The latest casualties are Capt. William B. Reardon of the marine corps, killed in action in the South Pacific and Sgt. Lovell Newell, missing in action over Germany.

Capt. Reardon is the husband of the former Miss Elizabeth Baker of Saranac Lake, the mother of an infant daughter.

Capt. Reardon was recently cited for bravery and awarded the air medal.
