William H. Steele owned and/or operated the Steele Cottage at 108 Lake Street. This is apparently at the intersection of Lake Street and Petrova Avenue, where the Lake Street Apartments of the Harrietstown Housing Authority are now located. Steele served on the Saranac Lake Village Board in 1914 and 1915.
