Wm Ryan Dead, Was Saranac Lake Florist
William L. Ryan, 43, proprietor of the Adirondack greenhouses in Saranac Lake was found slumped in a chair in his greenhouse last week by Mr. and Mrs. Louis Paye. They summoned Dr. W. O. Kelley who pronounced him dead from a heart attack.
Born at Saranac Lake, he was a son of the late Patrick H. and Barbara Weinberger Ryan. He was graduated from Saranac Lake high school and Cornell university school of horticulture. He married Miss Edith Meagher on Feb. 16, 1927.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Barbara and Anne; a brother, Louis and a sister, Miss Lillian Ryan.
A solemn requiem mass was celebrated Friday in St. Bernard's church. Mr. Ryan is the second Saranac Lake florist to die of a sudden heart attack this year. Edmund Horton met a similar death last spring.
