William Taylor

William (Bill) Taylor, 73, former resident of Saranac Lake, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in White River Junction, Vt.

He was born May 21, 1890, in Watertown, son of George and Alice Fulton Taylor. His wife Celista, is deceased. For many years Mr. Taylor worked at the M. N. Meagher Ice Co. here and about ten years ago moved to Burlington, Vt. to live with his step-daughter, Mrs. Edward Lonergan.

Mrs. Lonergan and nephews survive. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of World War I and fought in four battles-- Toul, Marbache, St. Mihiel, and Meuse Argonne.

A veteran service will be held at the Fortune Funeral Home at 7:46 this evening and a Rosary Service at 8 o'clock. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a. m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Church. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
