For a time around 1921, this was the home of Christy Mathewson, who pitched for the New York Giants, and came to cure his tuberculosis in Saranac Lake.

The Feustmann Cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing element to the Cottage Row Historic District.

Alfredo Gonzalez cured here for three years, approximately 1920-23, when it was a cure cottage run by Miss Ruth Collins
