Receiving Packages

Courier companies will always call the phone number listed before making a delivery. You can pick up the call, and tell them (in Korean) how you would like your package delivered.

You can also leave written instructions for the courier. The checkout page for online shopping sites almost always have a section for shipping requests (배송시 요청사항).

Typical package instructions to courier

1. Not at home. Leave package at the guardroom.
부재시, 경비실에 맡겨 주세요.

2. Not at home. Leave package in front of the residence.
부제시, 집 앞에 놔주세요.

3. Before shipping, please contact (the recipient).
배송 전, 연락 바랍니다.

4. Not at home. Please contact by phone or SMS.
부재시, 전화 또는 문자 연락 주세요.
