Featured as one of Ithaca's Oddities, City Style Salon‎/Sake Bar is a Collegetown institution. This is a high end salon, which specializes in color (both roots and hi-lights), relaxers, permanents, weaves, hair extensions, straightening, bio-ionic (Japanese) straightening, wash, blow-dry, hair styling/consultations, and even full body waxing. But perhaps the most unusual part of this Salon is the bar, which serves champagne, beer, and their specialty "saketinis".

Now you may be thinking, "So this is just a salon that gets made over to a bar at night." The answer is surprisingly "not really". The bar actually services salon clientele during the day. However, you would be correct in assuming that the salon does not run late into the night alongside the bar. At nighttime the building transforms into a "nightclubish" setting, with a lounge, music, plenty of room for dancing at night.
