Northeast of Ithaca by about an hour and ten minutes, Syracuse, NY is another city of Upstate New York that strings along the old Erie Canal route. It has many of the same benefits, and problems, of the other canal and manufacturing cities of Buffalo, Rochester, and Albany. Smaller than Rochester, Syracuse was hit harder by the loss of manufacturing jobs, but it continues to soldier on as a university town despite the economic downturn.
Syracuse has its own city wiki at SyracuseWiki.org and is on Ithaca Wiki's Interwiki Map as SyrWiki.
