Viva is made up of two eateries. On the corner is the Taqueria, an order at the counter California Mexican joint opened in 1995, which sits right next to the newer Cantina, Ithaca's most popular full service Mexican influenced restaurant. The cantina also has a full service bar which specializes in various kinds of tequila, even including tequila flights. The drink menu also features an extensive selection of specialty drinks, highlighted by the frozen margaritas.

2009-06-29 12:26:53   The taqueria is decent by Ithaca standards. Their burritos are edible, but definitely not traditional Mexican (which they don't claim to be). Overall its fairly inexpensive compared to that burrito place and tastes better. I still like the burritos better at Manndible Cafe better, but the ones here are cheaper. So its a toss up. I warn you though, that if you are from the west coast you will find any Ithaca Mexican place disappointing. However, the margaritas are quite good at the Cantina. —MattHh
