What do the tassel and cord colors mean?  

Spring graduation is held in the hockey arena, Fall graduation is help in the Varsity Gym. 

Tips from parents:

•  Wear comfortable shoes.   
• There is handicapped seating available.   
• Concession stands are open
• Ladies room lines are long
• Arrive  2 hours early for optimum seat selection.  Ask your student where they will be sitting so you can pick the best seat to see them.
• Spring 2018 there was 3 ticket limit , there is overflow area to watch on screen for other guests.   Students that requested overflow ticket got an additional ticket.  A ticket was required for entry.  Some parents got additional tickets at SDC ticket office the morning of commencement.  

What time is commencement usually over?   About 3.5- 4 hours. Since graduate and undergraduate commencement was split, undergraduate commencement is much shorter.
