This year, the Romanian Canadian Day Festival will take place on June 9, 2012.

The program will involve talented people of all ages from our community as well as an exhibition about Romanian history, traditions and music. As part of this celebration, there will be vendors selling a variety of traditional Romanian food. The festivities will begin at 1:00 and finish at 9:00 p.m. at the Kitchener City Hall, 200 King Street West. Inside the Rotunda, there will be display tables for sponsors to promote local businesses.

The Romanian Canadian Day is organized through the joint collaboration and efforts  of various groups in the Romanian Community. This year they are: ARTA-The Romanian Association, KW Romanian Business Group, Agenda Romaneasca (local Romanian newspaper), AREC-SOC - Association of Romanian Engineers in Canada - South Ontario Chapter, as well as local Romanian church groups.

This year we have a few famous names from Romania and Moldavia: Benone Sinulescu and the Millenium Band. These artists appeal to all generations for their traditional as well as modern interpretation of the traditional Romanian music.

Come join us on Civic Square at City Hall between 1:00pm and 9:00pm for food, fun, and entertainment for the whole family!
