North Main Street is one of the streets in Los Angels Metro.

In 1916, Japanese-American businessman Takejiro Kusanagi invested $55,000 to buy land and a house along the street, and moved his grocery and kimono store from Pasadena. ⁽¹⁾

After that, prices soared, and the land and houses in the area were bought by the Bank of Italy for $175,000. ⁽¹⁾
