INTERNET ACCESS

  • There are 8 Internet-designated computer stations at this library, in addition to several non-internet-enabled stations. 
  • Requirements: You need a Santa Monica Public Library Card or Computer Pass. A Computer Pass costs $2 and you may use the internet for 60 minutes.
  • Limits: 2 hours per day. 
  • Reservations?: Some computers are available for walk-up use, but reservations are a good idea. You can make reservations at reservation centers within the library. Each reservation is for 60 minutes, renewable for (3) additional 20 minute sessions if no one else wants to use the computer. If you do not log on in the first five minutes of your reservation, it is forfeited. 
  • Printing: Black and white costs $.15 per page, while color is $.50. Copy machines accept bills, coins or Copy Cards for payment. Computer printers accept Copy Cards only. Your full-sized plastic Library Card can also serve as a Copy Card (keychain cards lack the magnetic strip required for vending services). Copy Cards may be purchased at any of our five locations. The card costs $1.00 for the initial purchase (40¢ for the card and 60¢ worth of copies or printouts). Money can be added to Copy Cards or to library cards with magnetic strips at any of our Vendacard machines or photocopiers.
