Community Ventures helps people achieve their dreams by offering expertise, financing, and support in the areas of business, home ownership and community projects.

History of Organization

Since 1982, Community Ventures helps people own homes and start businesses because we believe in people's dreams. From affordable housing to large-scale community projects, our areas of focus offer the opportunity to dramatically improve the quality of life for people across Kentucky.

Programs and Projects 

Community Ventures, through Bluegrass Local Food Initiatives, is taking initiative in two Lexington locations to elevate food opportunities in two different, under-served neighborhoods. Integration of food-related businesses and ancillary entities will enhance the quality of life, provide jobs, and bring a healthier environment to these areas. We are committed to strengthening local farmers' access to distribution of their quality products and to providing increased local food access to citizens while impacting the local economy with jobs. Bluegrass Local Food Initiatives will develop plans to fill those gaps. We. Are. Local.
