Christopher M. Dewees is an artist specializing in Japanese Fish Printing (gyotaku).  He is also Marine Fisheries Specialist Emeritus in the Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology at UC Davis. His art has been displayed in galleries worldwide and he is the author of two books on Japanese Fish Printing.  Chris co-founded the Nature Printing Society in 1976 and is a member of the California Society of Printmakers, American Fisheries Society, America Institute of Fisheries Research Biologists, International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade. An avid tennis player, Chris serves as Treasurer of the Davis Tennis Club as well as the member of several Boards that deal with environmental issues.Dewees with white seabass.jpg
