I am the grandson on Howard T. Thompson and Ruth Thompson, owners of Sunset Camp and all of the structures along the lake front from Sunset to the boathouse on Pine Point. They purchased the property in the 30s and deeded the properties to their children when Ruth died around 2003. All of the properties have since been sold off. The Thompson family spent every summer at the property during the years when Howard and Ruth's children were growing up. After retirement they lived in the property full time. After Howard died around 1983, Ruth lived alone in the property for three seasons, and spent winters in Rochester, New York.
