What do you know about gun violence?

In the first 6 months of 2019, more people have been shot in Allentown PA than all of 2018. 49 aggravated assaults by firearms in the first half of 2019, a 277% increase from the first 6 months of 2018. As the year is coming to an end,  the current pace of gun violence would make 2019 one of the most violent years in the past dozen years, On June 20, at the Deja Vu nightclub, 10 people were injured in what was perhaps the most significant mass shooting in the Lehigh Valley  #social

I included this because I live 5-10 min from downtown Allentown, and am concerned about the crime and hostility that occurs, especially at night.
