The InterContinental Miami is a fancy hotel in Downtown Miami that's part of the chain of InterContinental hotels. There are a lot of conferences that happen here and yet it is also acceptable to walk around the hotel in a bathing suit and sarong.

It's right next to Bayfront Park and Biscayne Bay - basically you can walk right out of the main entrance of the hotel and be in a park by the Bay.

In December of 2012, the InterContential completed a $30 million dollar renovation and introduced a 19-story LED light show on the side of the building.  The LED lights pulsate through different colors and text ("Welcome to Miami") as well as a dancing, bikini-clad woman.

Their lobby has coffee tables with Microsoft surfaces in them.
