Elm Drive West is the northernmost surviving original Cooksville street, running from Hurontario Street to Joan Drive. By Mississauga Plan, it is part of the southern boundary of City Centre and the northern boundary of Fairview. It was originally lined with detached houses on large lots, but the north side east of Kariya Drive has been infilled with apartments and townhouses, and the south side west of Kariya Drive is home to the Peel District School Board's Adult Education Centre.
Elm Drive East was constructed in the 1970s as part of Mississauga Valleys, and has tower-in-the-park apartments on both sides. It runs east to Mississauga Valley Boulevard.
In 2009, bike lanes were added to Elm Drive.
