The name "Glen Erin Brook" is also sometimes used for another tributary of Sawmill Creek further north.

The Glen Erin Brook is a creek and storm drain flowing from the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Ninth Line, through Erin Mills along the Glen Erin Trail, into Sawmill Creek. In the 1970s, as part of the development of Erin Mills, most of the course was buried and the Glen Erin Trail built on top of it. At the height of Fifth Line West, the water was diverted to the northeast through a new above-ground channel, to flow into Sawmill Creek, rather than Loyalist Creek. The bypassed section still exists, beginning at Erindale Secondary School and travelling under the streets of Sherwood Forrest.
