The Hurontario LRT, beginning construction in 2019, will be a local rail line along Hurontario Street from Port Credit GO at Park Street to the Brampton Gateway Terminal at Steeles Avenue. The line will be built and owned by Metrolinx, which also owns GO Transit.

Possible future additions include an extension south through Port Credit, a loop around the City Centre, and an extension north to Brampton GO. All three were planned as part of the original study that led to the project, but successively fell to budget cuts as well as local opposition in the Brampton case.
