Certified Lock & Safe

Jerry Kruss - Member MLNA - since 1978

I just had a lock rekeyed to match my other locks by Jerry Kruss. Jerry first helped me determine what kind of lock to buy for compatibility with my other locks (which are unusual German locks), as well as explaining how it all works. He also took the time to talk with me and to actually do the work on a Sunday (today), which was very helpful to me, since this is going to be an extremely busy work week for me. I'm not sure Jerry wants a lot of business on Sundays, but he was very accommodating with me, and I highly recommend him for all of your locksmith needs. Posted by cjasper - 8/3/08

KWIK KEY (lock and safe), 1949A El Camino Read, MV 650-965-2997

Recommendation CAUTION
i went to kwik key a month ago to have four copies made of my front door key. two worked and two did not. i took them back and they took the two defective keys and ground them down some more. they again did not work. i went back to kwik key a THIRD time and told them to NOT use those two keys but make two brand new ones. FINALLY! they worked. but i left unsatisfied and won't be returning. the one person in the shop, was very busy, many people waiting for their keys, phone ringing constantly, in the long period i was there waiting it sounded like customers being asked to call back because he was busy, and then the customers calling back and he was still busy! not a good sign. the key maker complained that the type of lock i needed a key for was difficult and at no time did i receive a satisfactory apology for my time wasted. why were two keys OK and not the other two? and why would i bother going back? so i won't. i wouldn't recommend you go either!
