A restaurant in downtown Nevada City. They offer all kinds of different foods, ranging from Prime Rib, to Chicken Picatta, to Pasta Prima Vera and Sauteed Mushrooms. They specialize in Fondu, and have a different variation for each course (hot cheese for an appetizer, hot oil and meat for the main course, hot chocolate for dessert). Their hot cheese fondu is very strong, authentic swiss fondu, and is certainly an acquired taste, but fabulous if you're already a fondu lover. They also offer some well made and tasty desserts (their cheesecake is some of the best in town. It is made in house, and the flavor changes every week). They also have a full service bar that stays open much later than the dining room on weekends.
The restaurant is low lit and beautiful on the inside. It's definitely a nice place for a date, but don't expect it to be a particularly quiet date, especially if you're planning on coming in on a Friday or Saturday.
