Mount Lola is the highest peak in Nevada County, with an elevation of 9,148 feet and a prominence of 2,068 feet above the surrounding landscape. It is located directly west of Independence Lake. A subsidiary peak 1.2 miles north of the main summit is highest point in Sierra County, with an elevation of 8,844 feet.

The Mount Lola is named for Lola Montez. Upper Lola Montez Lake and Lower Lola Montez Lake, located north of Interstate 80 near Kingdale, are also named for her.
