Between the Paths is the historical name of the area in Brookside between Flax Hill Road and Soundview Avenue, east of Michael Street. The name is derived from the two highways, old and new to Stamford. See also Country Road and Stamford Path. The name dates from at least as far back as 1705. It includes the present site of Brookside Elementary School.
