Gregory Brook is the historical name of the brook in the Silvermine neighborhood which crosses River Road and flows into Guthries Pond. ¹  Also known as Guild Brook and Guthrie Pond Brook, it is a tributary of the Silvermine River.  It originates in New Canaan in Carter Swamp, flowing behind the Silvermine Guild Arts Center, entering the Silvermine River in Norwalk behind the Silvermine Tavern, just north of the Perry Avenue Bridge.
