Gosling Brook (also Snotty Nose Brook) is the historical name of the brook in South Norwalk which flows near West Avenue and Crescent Street The name dates back at least as early as 1867. This is the same brook as the Shovel Hill Brook, a name that dates back at least as early as 1671. 1See also Shovell Hill.
