Attracting over 6 million visitors from all over the world, Chelsea Market has become one of New York's most talked about pit stops because of its great atmosphere and amazing location.

History: Chelsea Market was used in the 1890's as a baking facility and merged with many companies. The Chelsea Market was bought in 2018 for over $2.4 billion. It is located in the historical Meatpacking District, the area has always had an extreme focus on food.  The Algonquin Indians used to do their trading along the Hudson River near the market, and the old High Line Railway, which passes just above the market , is how the butchers of the Meatpacking District use to get their meats transported to them.
