2016 will be the 140th anniversary of the birth of Jack London and the 100th anniversary of his death. There are some early discussions for a 2016 Jack London Celebration in Oakland.
Ideas include:
- bookstore displays and readings
- a special event at Jack London Square
- special events at the Jack London Oak near city hall
- a "Jack & Julia" (Morgan; both she and London were OHS alums, a few years apart) bicycle tour, similar to the 5 Houses Tour
