American Creamery was a dairy business founded and owned by Joaquin Silveira. One source says he started it in 1906; 1 the company incorporated in 1909. 2
The business was initially at 15th Street and Cypress (now Mandela Parkway), and in 1930, built a new, larger plant at 14th Street and Poplar Street. 3
