Anna Johnson (born c.1955) is the first professional women's basketball player from the Bay Area. She played for the San Francisco Pioneers in the short-lived Women's Professional Basketball League in 1979-1980. (The WNBA didn't start until 1996.)

Johnson played basketball at Oakland Tech.

When Johnson was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame alongside about 100 other former WBL players, her mother's response was lovingly brusque: “It’s about damn time.” 1
