Antonio María Peralta (August, 1801 – February 22, 1879) was a son of Luís María Peralta who received part of his father's land grant, Rancho San Antonio. The house he lived in with his family is now part of Peralta Hacienda Historical Park.
Peralta's part of the grant included 16,067 acres, from about present-day 68th Avenue to the east side of Lake Merritt. He built the first adobe on the site in 1821. Around 1828, he brought his first wife to live on the rancho. The 2-story Victorian house was built in 1870.
Family
Peralta married María Antonio Galindo on May 22, 1828 at Mission Santa Clara. They had 11 children:

- María Antonia Inez (Also known as Inez Peralta Galindo or Ynez Peralta Galindo) (March, 1840 – January 13, 1913). She married Francisco Galindo on August 31, 1869 in Oakland. 1
- Paula Antonia (c.1842 – March 6, 1912). She married Frank L. Galindo on February 23, 1881, Oakland.
- Francisca Antonia Saturnina (January, 1844 – June 4, 1868)
Death and Burial
Peralta died in 1879 in Fruitvale, and is buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery. Maria died c.1850 and is buried at Mission San Jose.
