Arroyo Viejo Creek extends from Knowland Park above the Oakland Zoo, through Arroyo Viejo Park, past the Coliseum where it joins Lion Creek to become Damon Slough.
Like many creeks in the East Bay, the creek is culvertized for part of its length. One point of access is just inside the entrance to the Oakland Zoo before you enter the parking area on the left-hand side. There is a path and some signage about the creek.
