Burning Man is an event held in Nevada where people build giant sculptures and whatever. Many people from Oakland go to Burning Man. You can tell when burning man is happening because there is a mass exodus of the hippie populations (and some of the zen techie population) of Oakland and San Francisco. Some people who think they're funny call this the "Bay Area Rapture." Burning Man attendees are known as Burners.
