Chris Treadway (c.1955 – November 11, 2021) was a long-time journalist and historian in the East Bay. He contributed numerous clippings and photos to the Oakland Wiki.
Treadway was born in Berkeley, and grew up in Montclair. He graduated from Skyline High, and attended Merritt and Laney Colleges before getting a journalism degree from San Francisco State University.
Over the years, he worked for the Berkeley Voice, El Cerrito Journal, Montclarion, Oakland Tribune, West County Times, and East Bay Times.
