1. Fruitvale Cinco de Mayo Festival

The Office of Councilmember Gallo, in partnership with The Unity Council, is hosting a small Cinco de Mayo festival for the Fruitvale community. 

Sunday, May 5, 2013
12pm-4pm
35th and International Blvd.


We will have the Aztec dance group Calpulli Coatlicue opening the Cinco de Mayo. In addition, the following entertainers will be present on Cinco de Mayo: DJ KenDiesel, Samba and Capoeira Group Muito Quente, Cesar Chavez Middle School Ballet Folklorico, Girls Power Studio Modeling and Belly Dancing Group and Marce la Voz Ranchera de la Aria de la Bahia.

This is a family friendly event. In an effort to keep our streets clean,  the office of Noel Gallo will host a clean-up prior and after the festival: from 9am-11am and 4pm-5pm. Please keep in mind that International Boulevard will NOT be closed. The focus of this small Cinco de Mayo festival is to promote local District 5 businesses and to share the Fruitvale culture.
