Council Member Libby Schaaf started a new monthly event in District 4: coffee with your Area Police Captain. This new monthly event, Coffee with a Captain, will give constituents (and Libby) the chance to meet at a neighborhood coffee shop for informal conversations with the police captains in command of the newly instituted Areas. Area 3: First Thursday of every month, 3:00-4:30pm at Hive Cafe, 2139 MacArthur Blvd, Dimond, with Captain Rick Orozco.
Area 4: Last Friday of every month, 10:30-12:00 at Luis' Coffee Shop, 5390 Bancroft Ave, Melrose, with Captain Steven Tull
Area 2: 3rd Monday of the month from 3:00 to 4:00p at Tutti Frutti, 2066 Mountain Blvd., Montclair, with Captain Anthony Toribio
