Annalee Allen with Dave Newhouse
CC SA-BY Our OaklandDave Newhouse (born 1938) is an Oaklander and was a long-time columnist with the Oakland Tribune. He is also the author of 11 books about sports, including The Jim Plunkett Story and The Ultimate Oakland Raiders Trivia Book.
Newhouse's career in newspapers spanned 52 years, 47 of them at the Tribune. He retired in 2011. 1
His most recent book is Founding 49ers: The Dark Days Before the Dynasty (Kent State University Press) and was released in June, 2015. Newhouse will be at a book event on August 8th at the Laurel Bookstore.
