The Eastmont Technology Center was renamed in 2013 to the David E. Glover Education and Technology Center in honor of the late OCCUR Executive Director, David E. Glover. The center is located in East Oakland and is "open to the public and offer open access to high-speed Internet, and free and low cost technology classes and workshops including Introduction to Microsoft Office and Computer Basics for Spanish speakers." It was founded in 1997 by OCCUR with support from the US Dept of Commerce. The Center is located at 6948 Foothill Boulevard.
