Dimond's Hidden Jewels Mural - Oakland

Dimond's Hidden Jewels Mural is a mural on the side of Farmer Joe's on Fruitvale Ave. in the Dimond District.

It was painted by Debbie Koppman and Amanda Lockwood, Dimond residents and teachers at Sequoia Elementary School in 2011, incorporating the drawing of students from Sequoia. They blogged a little about the process here.

Oaktown Art did a great piece while the mural was being painted in 2010. Dimond News also featured the painting in progress and has a cheeky picture of the former Diamond Mural.

The mural features neighborhood landmarks past and present and insets feature local characters.
