East Oakland Pottery was established by Henry Bundock in 1872 and located on the corner of East 12th Street and 19th Avenue, East Oakland. The clay used in the giant kiln was secured from Michigan Bar (white clay) and Brooklyn (red clay). Terra cotta, flower pots, stoneware, sewer pipes and drain tiles were the main items manufactured by the company.
