Notes
- Recently, BANG and Oakland Tribune have started to give more detailed descriptions of "East Oakland" locations, even if they don't give a neighborhood. For example, the 72nd and Hawley described the area as "Near the Coliseum BART station." The 11/4 and 11/6 Oakland Tribune articles went as far as describing nearby streets, and the 11/1 article specified that the event occurred in the Eastmont Town Center. It's almost like there is a shift happening- that the Trib is starting to pay more attention to the Deep East. (Or to this page)
*This story has an embedded Google map with an arrow on the spot listed in the story. I don't know if this is something new or something unique to the Chronicle but again, seems fitting with the note above that there's a shift happening in how neighborhoods are being noted. It's also interesting to note that the 3100 block of Coolidge isn't really considered Fruitvale.
