Evan Schloss is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 14 years of experience providing mental health services in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, college counseling centers, LGBTQQI agencies, youth shelters, and in private practice. As a clinician, he provides both brief and long-term therapy to adults and children in individual psychotherapy, relationship counseling (including couples and multiple partners), and family therapy.

His therapeutic approach has its foundation in warmth, authenticity, unconditional acceptance, and empathy.  He believes in tailoring his approach according to each client’s concerns, challenges, and unique sociocultural backgrounds with regard to family, race, ethnicity, class, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and ability. He utilizes a number of modalities, including humanistic therapies, narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), social justice and gender aware therapy, and harm reduction.
