First Oakland Black-Eyed Pea Festival
Saturday September 20, 2014 11 am - 6 pm,
Mosswood Park, 3612 Webster Street
This free event celebrates African and African-American culture and features traditional musicians, as well as artists and storytellers, craft booths, and health and community resource information. There will also be classes in meditation, yoga, and dance, along with an arts and crafts area for children. And of course, there will be plenty of dishes featuring-you guessed it-black-eyed peas!
