The I.D.E.S. Society was a Portuguese fraternal organization with a local hall in Oakland at 1743 Foothill Blvd. Also known as Sociedad da Irmandade do Divino Espirito Santo, or Society of the Divine Holy Spirit.
Before that section of Foothill was renamed, the address was 1743 East 16th Street.
In 1941, the local hall hosted the statewide convention, with most of the activities being held at the Hotel Oakland. 1
The building is now home to Green Pastures Church and Evangelistic Outreach Ministries.
