The Ida Louise Jackson house is at 1210 Excelsior, and was the home of noted educator Ida Louise Jackson for most of her years in Oakland.

At some point after Jackson owned it, the house was lifted and an additional story with a new foundation was added. The house is not a city landmark, but is considered important historically because of Jackson's ownership of it.

It was built in 1915 by Walter A. Butler and known as Wrest-Acre or Wrestacres. 1
