Island Market is a long-time market at 2314 High St. There has been a market at that location since at least 1938.
The first reference found in the Tribune is from 1938, when it was one of 3 G&W Markets stores. By 1950, it had become F&N Market. 1 By 1967, it had acquired the Island Market name. 2
