Jones' Bazar was a shop stocking "crockery, toys, glassware, and fancy goods" 2 from 1880 to c.1901, run by Richard Jones. From the 1880s, it was at 955 Broadway. For a time it was at 1158-1160 Washington 4 before failing in 1895. 13 In 1897, it re-opened at 13th and Clay. 8 In 1900, it was part of / in the basement of Abrahamson Brothers at 13th and Washington. 10

Jones first opened the shop in June, 1880. By 1886, Jones also had a millinery store at 913 Broadway, and a bowling alley and gym at 9th and Broadway. 6 Jones filed for incorporation in February, 1892, with $20,000 in stock. 12

Until her death in 1886, Mrs. Leah Evans worked at Jones' as a saleslady. 7 In 1887, a Miss Nellie Jones worked there as a saleslady. 2 (It's not yet clear if she was related; evidence so far says not.) In 1894, salesman Thomas Lloyd died unexpectedly at the age of 33. 11
