King Estate is an area of Oakland near I-580, primarily composed of the King Estate Open Space. It gets its name from the fact it was owned by Arthur D. King.
The land was previously owned by Ludovina Peralta Ivey, who inherited it from her father, Ignacio Peralta, one of the sons of Luis Maria Peralta.
