Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders (LMJS) is a running club based in Oakland.
The club was founded in 1977 and is now a 501(c)3 non-profit. It is an affiliate member of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) and of the Pacific Association of USA Track and Field (PAUSATF).
They host "Fourth Sunday Races" around Lake Merritt 10 months of the year. The other two months are taken up by the Tilden Tough Ten Race and the Oakland Running Festival.
They also host Saturday morning training runs open to everyone.
